For the 2015 hit-and-run death of Terry Carter, Suge Knight received a 28-year prison term. The former CEO of Death Row has been in jail ever since, but he still manages to make news. Since a judge supposedly reduced his sentence by 15 years, there has recently been rumors of him being released early. It’s possible that he’s now ready to reveal his life narrative in a candid biopic. It’s been reported that he and his brother, Brian Brown, are collaborating on a TV project that will begin filming this summer.
Yet, there is a lot to discuss. The biopic will probably begin with Knight’s Compton roots and his ambitions to become a football coach, and it will be filmed in the style of Black Family Mafia. But the true curiosity will be whether Knight investigates the night 2Pac was killed. Hip-Hop fans are still curious about the murder because it has never been solved.
On September 7, 1996, as he and Knight waited for the red light to turn green at an intersection in Las Vegas, 2Pac was shot in a drive-by. At University of Nevada Medical Center, he passed away six days later. Orlando Anderson was identified as a key suspect, but the case was closed before he could be tried. Naturally, there are still a lot of unanswered questions.
It is evident that Knight intends to include 2Pac in his narrative because it wouldn’t be complete without him, but it is uncertain how far he will take it. He is said to be quite active in the actor casting, particularly when it comes to 2Pac. Let’s hope he tells us something we don’t know if this biopic is truly made. Will he address the alleged incident involving Vanilla Ice? Does Snoop Dogg believe he killed 2Pac? All we can do is wait and see.
