Week 3 is when the No. 5 overall pick in the 2022 NFL Draft is expected to make his debut.
Kayvon Thibodeaux, a defensive end for the New York Giants, is now officially active and will make his career debut when Big Blue hosts the visiting Dallas Cowboys on Monday night. Thibodeaux missed the first two weeks of his rookie season due to an MCL sprain.
Unfortunately, the Giants will be missing defensive tackle Leonard Williams (knee) and wide receiver Kadarius Toney (hamstring), both of whom were questionable before the contest.
On Aug. 22, Thibodeaux was hurt during a preseason game against the Cincinnati Bengals and was listed as questionable heading into Monday. The Oregon product was expected to be available for the opening game of the season or by Week 2, but Thibodeux’s first game was postponed until Week 3.
Thibodeaux, who possesses both on- and off-field star potential, playing his debut game during prime time feels appropriate.
